Is 100 Days of SwiftUI up-to-date with Swift 6 and iOS 18?

Forums > 100 Days of SwiftUI

see above.

Considering that iOS 18 was just announced last week and I think only 1 beta has come out so far, plus the fact that Swift 6 won't be out until, I believe, September, I'm gonna say no. :)

Paul just recently (within the past year, IIRC) finished updating everything so it should all be good for iOS 17 and Swift 5.10 or whatever.

🤣😁😂

What's the plan when these massive changes land? Do I do the first couple of weeks over, or start over yet again? I am on the challenge part of Day 25

Honestly, don't worry about it. Just keep doing what you're doing. Any changes from iOS 18 and/or Swift 6 you can learn when you need them; the rest is pretty much fundamentals that will be needed regardless.

@ha1neux, my guess is that the massive changes of Swift 6 - which is not the default - won't be introduced in the early days of 100 days of SwiftUI (at least for a while). After finishing the 100 Days of SwiftUI... If you go to "Store" -> "Browse Swift Courses" -> scroll down halfway to "SWIFT CONCURRENCY BY EXAMPLE" -> and then click on "Read for FREE".... you will see a lot of stuff to go through... and the first thing you will be introduced to is the introduction "This stuff is hard". (which is why I don't think it will be introduced early in the 100 Days course. Once you get through that, you can go to each of the projects and turn on "Swift 6" and see if you can work through them and see if there is anything to fix. If you get to the "Ultimate Portfolio App", at the end turn it on and you will see a lot of things that need to be addressed. I am expecting this is where HWS will first see updates with maybe a final video in the series that addresses updating to "Swift 6".
