SOLVED: How do i use Geometry Reader? its not working

Forums > 100 Days of SwiftUI

Any clue why this wont compile? i have searched online but everything says to do the same.

import SwiftUI

struct GeometryReader: View { var body: some View {

    VStack {

        GeometryReader { geo in - argument passed to call that takes no arguments

            Image("equalizer")
                .resizable()
                .aspectRatio(contentMode: .fit)
                .frame(width: geo.size.width)
        }
    }

}

}

struct GeometryReader: View

Name your View something else; GeometryReader is already taken by the system.

Since you have named your View as GeometryReader, it basically takes the place of the built-in GeometryReader. Yours has no init method taking a parameter, which is why you get the error about passing a parameter to a method that doesn't take one.
