I was wondering how is the challenge done? The task is to create a generic extension on FileManager, like in project 8. Any ideas how it is done?

I did it like this:

extension FileManager {

    static func urlFor(filename: String) -> URL

    static func decode<T: Decodable>(filename: String) throws -> T

    static func encode<T: Encodable>(_ value: T, withFilename filename: String) throws
}

• urlFor is just a helper function that returns the filename appended to the document directory
• decode and encode are very similar to what was done before but in this case I let the caller deal with the error handling. Btw, they read and write JSON encoded data to the filename url.
