SOLVED: Day 30 - TextField autocorrect

Forums > 100 Days of SwiftUI

I was playing with WordScamble and had the root word "swigging". The first word I attempted to enter was "swigg". This was a deliberate typo using letters that were in the root word. This could be a typo for "swig" or perhaps "swing". The app simply assumed "swig" and added that to the word list. I then discovered that autocorrect is enabled for TextField by default. Since it corrected without any warning or asking the user, perhaps autocorrect should be disabled for this project?

You can use .disableAutocorrection(true) on the TextField

@Nigel has the correct answer.

But maybe you don't know about @twostraws' amazing collection of SwiftUI hints and articles?

In the upper right corner of each web page, there's a sweet searchbox. Give it a go!

Here's the resulting article:

Click> How to disable autocorrect
