Project 19 | Day 69 | Challenge 2: User defaults and URL host property.

Forums > 100 Days of Swift

Hello everyone! I hope you're doing great!

There's another post asking this same question but it wasn't solved. Does anyone know why do we have to convert the URL and use the host property?

Both the script and the var pageURL = "" are strings so I place this code in the done() method:

let userDefaults = UserDefaults.standard
userDefaults.set(script.text, forKey: pageURL)

Thanks for your attention.

According to Swift documentation, if it was used in the URL, the host property removes any percent encoding when reading ( getting ) it.

Makes it easier to process further in your code.
