FUTO is searching for an experienced Swift developer to help us build the next generation of secure, privacy preserving mobile apps and online services.

We are a new company made up of Silicon Valley veterans and former academic researchers, with multiple years of financial runway, out to build ethical tech that puts users first. No data mining, no ads or creepy tracking, and no cryptocurrency scams. Just simple delightful software that users can trust.

Tech stack:

• Everything we build will be 100% open source (primarily Apache 2.0 and AGPLv3)
• iOS 15+
• SwiftUI
• Vapor
• CryptoKit
• Modern Swift concurrency with async/await and Actors
• The Matrix protocol

Desired experience:

• 5+ years software dev experience
• 3+ years in Swift
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field is a plus, but is not required
• Prior experience with cryptography and/or security is a plus, but is not required

Location:

• On site in Austin, TX, just blocks from the University of Texas campus

Compensation:

• 120-180k base salary plus bonuses based on revenue
