Speaking of which, is there a standard way to post progress that is less disruptive than making a new topic? Seems like something I might be doing wrong...

Your best bet is something like Twitter, where you can use the #100DaysOfSwiftUI hashtag – it helps a lot of other folks find you, and it's really encouraging to share progress with others.
